The TU810V1 is a compact 16-channel module termination unit (MTU) designed for $800 1/0 systems.This passive unit serves to connect field wiring to l/0 modules and integrates part of the ModuleBus. The MTU distributes the ModuleBus to l/0 modules and onward to the next MTU, ensuring correct address generation by shifting outgoing position signals accordingly. Mechanical keying allows configuration for various l/0 module types without impacting MU or module functionality, providing 36 different configurations through two keys.
Two mechanical keys are used to configure the MTU for different types of I/O modules. This is only a mechanical configuration and it does not affect the functionality of the MTU or the I/O module. Each key has six positions, which gives a total number of 36 different configurations. The modules are devices that work with different voltage levels to adapt them.
